For this project, you will need these items: nail clippers, nail files, acetone nail polish remover, petroleum jelly, cotton balls, aluminum foil, and cotton balls.

Application:

  • As short as possible, cut your acrylic nails with a nail clipper. There should be as little nail left as possible.
  • File and buff your acrylic nails to remove any nail polish that was applied over them.
  • Apply petroleum jelly to your nails and fingers to prepare your cuticles for the acetone soak.

How to Apply:

  • Make sure you cut your nails short.
  • After that, gently pry the acrylic edges up with tweezers or a cuticle stick. Make sure to be gentle!
  • Using a bowl, place enough acetone-free nail polish remover to completely submerge the nails, and then soak your fingers.
  • Leave them soaking for up to 30 minutes, if necessary.
  • You can now pull the acrylic off your actual nails once more with your tweezers as soon as the nail starts to loosen.
  • Your nails and cuticles are less likely to become brittle and dry when you use this method instead of acetone.

It can save you time and money.

Prepare:

 A bowl of hot water, cuticle oil, or moisturizer of choice.

  • Get a bowl of water and begin heating it.
  • As soon as it has warmed up enough that your hands can be soaked in it, set it down.
  • Let your nails soak for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • The nails will swell up after this. The acrylic nail will start to peel off at this point.
  • Carefully separate your original nail from your acrylic nail.
  • Apply a moisturizer that suits your skin to your cuticles by applying cuticle oil.

Method 4: With Dental Floss

If you do not want to use acetone, you can remove your acrylic nails with some dental floss. Dental floss! Its use extends beyond promoting healthy teeth and gums.

If you want your acrylic nails to be removed quickly, this is the way to go. Although it can cause damage to your natural nails, this technique should only be used if your acrylics have begun to come loose.

A cuticle stick, dental floss, and an assistant.

  • The first thing you need to do is gently lift your acrylics’ edges with your cuticle stick.
  • In some cases, you may not have to do much for this step if your acrylic nails have already begun to loosen.
  • You can also ask your roommate, partner, or friend for assistance.
  • For most of the process, you will need another person.
  • You should have a piece of dental floss inserted under your acrylic nail after the edges have been lifted.
  • The floss needs to be carefully moved down the nail in a sawing motion until the acrylic comes off.
